Throughout the fourth quarter of 2022, the top tools apps in Brazil demonstrated diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Here's a closer look at the performance of the leading five apps in this category.

Avast Antivirus & Security by Avast Software had a notable quarter. Weekly revenue peaked at approximately $20K in the week of December 19, showing a general upward trend from $12K at the start of the quarter. Downloads fluctuated significantly, with a low point of around 29K in late October and a high of nearly 93K by the end of December. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 3.1M to 3.4M throughout the quarter.

VPN & Antivirus by Kaspersky also saw varied performance. Revenue experienced a slight increase, peaking at $14K in mid-December. Downloads showed a peak of 33K in late November, while active users remained steady, averaging around 130K to 135K.

AVG AntiVirus & Security from AVG Mobile showed an upward trend in revenue, reaching a high of $8K in the week of December 19. Downloads saw significant peaks, notably around 71K in the final week of December. Active users stayed around the 1M mark throughout the quarter.

CCleaner – Phone Cleaner by Piriform saw consistent revenue, maintaining around $2K to $2.4K weekly. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 114K in mid-October and closing the quarter at around 74K. Active users maintained a steady range between 380K and 460K.

Lastly, Data Transfer - MobileTrans by Shenzhen Wondershare Software Co., Ltd. saw a gradual increase in revenue, peaking at $3.2K in late November. Downloads hit a high of 10K in the same period, while active users grew from 27K to around 37K by the end of December.
